The Padres Sweep Opening Series… But Let’s Not Get Weird About It

Alright, so we just swept the Braves.

4-0. Clean. Efficient. Maybe even a little sexy.

But let’s pump the brakes.

We’ve seen this before—hot starts, packed crowds, and then August rolls around, and we’re debating whether to bet the under every night.

So no, we’re not planning the parade route just yet.

But we are cracking a grin. And maybe a Topo, since we’re still going strong on 75 Hard. No drinking on opening day? Not a problem!

The bats showed up. The bullpen held its ground. The knocks came at the right time.

That’s all we can ask for this early in the season.

We’re not shouting, “This is the year!”

But we’re also not saying, “Maybe next season”—not yet.

Let’s call it what it is: A damn good start.
