Shamp’s Corner: Halfway to Glory, Halfway to Insanity

I didn’t sign up for the 75 Hard challenge to prove anything to anyone—except maybe to my past self. The softer, rounder version of me who thought “balance” meant one beer and one Old Fashioned. But here we are. Day 40 of 75Hard. No booze. No BS. Just straight-up discipline, sweat, and sore everything.

Halfway, baby!

It ain’t been easy. Temptation’s been lurking around every corner—tacos, cheves, late nights at The Elwood calling my name like a siren with a Bukanitas.  But I’ve stayed solid. And I didn’t do it alone.

Enter: Jeff Lozano—my brother in struggle, my accountability enforcer, the man who somehow makes drinking a gallon of water look cool. We’ve been locking it in daily. Two workouts. Reading. No slips. No sips. Just vibes, reps, and regretting life together in the best way possible.

  • What have I learned in 40 days of this madness?
  • Self-discipline is a louder flex than any gym selfie.
  • You don’t need booze to party—just a little cardio and shame.
  • Cravings don’t control me… but shiet, it ain’t easy getting over them
  • When you surround yourself with good people, “heavy” things feel lighter.

This isn’t a victory lap. This is just a pit stop. A little breather before we finish this thing like Shampions.

To everyone on their own grind: keep going. Keep pushing. Stay uncomfortable.

The finish line ain’t a destination—it’s a mirror showing you what you’re made of.

And on Day 75?

I’ll see you at 3 Punk with a Tres Animales in hand, wearing pride like cologne… Jean Paul Gaultier of course

Asi de Pela’o!
