Mission Statement
Emo Brown is a Foundation, Podcast, and Social Club dedicated to elevating the Mental Wellness & Identity of our South San Diego Communities.
Our Goals
With the establishment of a central headquarters and warehouse facility, we’re poised to offer a variety of workshops and forums aimed at enhancing community access to resources and knowledge.
Additionally, we’re committed to expanding the utilization of this space for CommUNITY Events.
In the summer of 2024, we kicked off our community events series with a vibrant Group Art Show event, spotlighting local artists of varying expertise and offering them a platform to exhibit their artwork.
Accomplishments
Scholarship Awards
Since 2022 EBF has awarded sixteen $2,000 CommUNITY Investment Scholarships to South Bay and South East San Diego based young adults ages 17-21 investing in their unique growth plan, distributed in two installments during the award year.
Sunday Bike Ride
EBF has provided a dedicated time for the community to engage with the South Bay and beyond in weekly bike rides.
The Link Up
In partnership with the Vision Culture Foundation, EBF has been hosting a monthly gathering for men. A safe space for men to share stories, find common ground, and practice vulnerability, All in the spirit of improving mens mental health and well being.
CommUNITY Events
Starting in the Summer of 2024 EBF has been offering Monthly community events ranging from Yoga, Teacher Meet Ups, to Art Events and Workshops
Emo Brown Golf Tournament
Our flagship annual event is the Emo Brown Charity Golf Tournament. In the 3 years hosting this tournament, we’ve raised over $100,000. This is our main source of fundraising for our Community Invesment Scholarship Program. This has allowed us to award 16 $2,000 scholarships!
